Reflection

The process of creating this commercial has taught me a lot. Before beginning this project I knew nothing about technology. Nothing about video editing. Nothing about sound design and transitions. Creating this commercial provided me with a new outlook on content creation. Maybe had I learned about this sooner, I could consider a profession in the cinematography field. Nonetheless, I learned a lot and I hope I can go on to use what I’ve learned in any future endeavors I may have. I didn’t only learn about technology though. I also learned about the processes involved in project building. Putting together a project in film is different than any “project” I’ve done before. There’s a lot more little meticulous things that go into it. Like, transitions, overlapping audios, etcétera. Completing this project after several trials in my production process left me with a great feeling of accomplishment. Not everything was sunshine and rainbows with this project though. There were times where I seriously wanted to give up. When I had to change the entire subject of my commercial I thought I want going to make the deadline. I also could have used better transitions throughout the video. I also wanted to use a different song but my lack of skill in CapCut didn’t allow for it. Not everything went according to plan but overall, I gained a lot from this experience. Bye blog.
